The Epic Quiver is dedicated to providing readers with an arsenal of information and strategies related to personal finance, wealth management, and travel hacking based on personal experiences. I personally use these tactics to build my path to Financial independence.
Upon graduating university, I bought a one-way ticket out of the country and left with a backpack of clothes, 10 books and barely $500 in my pocket. It was my first taste of financial independence. I spent the next three years curcling the globe (multiple times) and working odd jobs. I averaged just under $10,000 a year in income and was able to save over 70% of my money.
My best paying job to date was working at a carnival 12 hours a day for 21 days straight as a bungee trampoline operator in Australia. I averaged $350 a day in cash and lived out of a tent near the beach.
Eventually I returned home to California, acquired my MBA and have since worked for three Fortune 500 companies, each a leader in their respective industries.
In 2011, I began investing in a variety of asset classes including the stock market, P2P lending, gold, real estate and the San Diego craft beer scene.
My goal is to reach FIRE around 2026 at the age of 42. I hope you follow me along this journey, become inspired, and contribute your own unique ideas and strategies through the comments.
